WHO IS VITA?

VITA is the official mascot of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Planica 2023. She is a girl with a shining gaze and an incredible sense for Nordic sports. She is a beautiful heron who knows how to run and fly and fearlessly faces winter. She got her name because of her extraordinary joy for life. Her full name is Viktorija which hides an immense desire to win.

VITA CAN ENCHANT ANYWHERE SHE APPEARS
When we first met our Vita, it was love at first sight. We could only wish that she would become so popular. Our task is to keep her that way. She has also achieved that everyone knows her today as the Planica heron, who left the official logo of Planica events, but returned in a much more beautiful and exciting form. Vita loves to encourage children to engage in sports, to move and to respect nature, after all her home is on the edge of Triglav National Park and here she feels the best.

PICTURE BOOK: WITH HERON VITA TO PLANICA
As part of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Planica 2023, we have arranged a special surprise for the youngest fans. A picture book with content about sustainability, in which the mascot Vita plays a leading role. The book is intended for children in the first triad of elementary school and children from the preschool period. It takes children through all seasons in Planica. It is educational, as it encourages children to behave responsibly and environmentally friendly. We will reveal all Vita’s activities in this picture book during the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships Planica 2023.
